Le Vignoble is situated on the border of the Lot-et-Garonne and the Dordogne, so is ideally placed for exploring this famous area of France. In July, the Lot-et-Garonne is a mass of bright yellow sunflowers. Whether you are walking, cycling or driving, it is a truly wonderful sight.
The Lot-et-Garonne is considered to be the "orchard" of France. Its climate favours the production of most of the country’s goodies, such as foie gras and wine, and many of the local vineyards offer wine-tastings.
The lively morning markets sell fresh produce and local delicacies. During the summer, there are "nocturnal" markets, normally with something delicious being cooked there to eat for supper!
Throughout the summer, there are many festivals and fairs to enjoy. Listen to live music with a cooling drink in the hot summer sunshine, followed by supper in one of a host of excellent restaurants which serve scrumptious regional specialities.
If you are the energetic type, the nearby Dordogne and Dropt rivers offer many water-based activities, including swimming, canoeing and kayaking. For children, the "Walibi Aquitaine" theme park at Roquefort makes a great day out.
